Hello world!

Matthew Alexander Laws. Born on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 6:08 am weighing in at 6 lbs. 8 oz. He was born via caesarian section at Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA. He is beautiful and perfect in every way. Matt, Olivia and I fell in love with him the moment we laid eyes on him. He completes our family in a way that I didn't know needed to be completed.

I wrote to my sister in law - I'll tell you it's like holding a little ray of sunshine! He really is as cute as that! He is so little and sweet it really makes me step back and look at our whole process of IVF and seeing the embryos and then having my dr actually cut me open to pull him out to safety. Hands and hearts of love and dedication and professionalism and faith are all over this child. Nothing in this world is more precious to me right now. I love my little family! These words are something that I will always be able to look back to and read and capture the love and emotion of how I felt and still feel after his birth.

I will post on Olivia's blog (click her name to connect to her blog) too about her reaction and her thoughts on the whole baby brother event. I will tell you that she is TOTALLY into being a big sister and truly can't keep her hands off of him. There are many kisses and love sessions with these two and I hope and pray that this only continues as they both get older.

So…I know what you want to see - PICTURES! So here they are and keep coming back to Matty's and Olivia's blogs for updates on the two of them. Love to all who read this and we will see you soon in person.

ps - I realize that after uploading these pictures I don't have any pictures of the big dadda on here. They are all on his phone so come back and I'll adjust, until then…here you go :)

Life at the hospital was pretty good. They fed me and changed me while I was in the nursery and I was warm and comfy cozy. Mom was pretty great too and so were the rest of my family!

Sissy did a GREAT job feeding me - I think we will be good friends!

I really am as cute as a button!

We are finally home and I got to look around and see all the new things in my home. There is this black and white furry thing that keeps following me around and sleeping on my blankets. I don't mind but he doesn't look like the rest of my family. He talks pretty funny too but he seems to make sure that I am safe and sound, kind of like a big brother… everyone keeps calling him Socks Francis - must be a pretty cool cat with a name like that.

Grandma and Grandpa have been WONDERFUL and have helped out Mommy and Daddy SOOOOOO much. I am happy they were here when I was born!

Sissy wanted to have a Gator photo session - I played along for the most part but I had enough and my pacifier was needed to keep my calm. I am only 4 days old Sissy…let's try this again later :)
